On the 6th October 2018, an LNER Class 43 No. 43318 "Celebrating 40 Years Inter-City 125", prepares to depart from platform 5 at York station with: the 10.00, London King's Cross to Inverness LNER service, which will be diverted after Newcastle along the Tyne Valley and Carlisle, due to another weekend of ECML diversions on the mainline north of Newcastle. Celebrity classmate No. 43302 which carries the special "World Diesel Traction Speed Record" plate, was at the rear of the train.
