Seen at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum om 22nd June 2018 is a replica of the first steam locomotive built at the B&O works at St.Clare in 1830, the vertical boilered 'Tom Thumb'. There is an apocryphal story that Tom Thumb once raced a horse drawn railcar, and lost due to a mechanical failure!
