Seen on Virgin Trains Super Voyager Class 221 No. 221117 in Chester on 19th June 2018 is the nameplate The Wrekin Giant. The name refers to a mythical Giant who had a grudge against Shrewsbury and was intending to cause a flood by dropping a shovelful of earth in the Severn. Talked out of it by a Shrewsbury Cobbler he dropped it on the edge of what is now Telford.
