Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0T No. 60, makes a smoky getaway from Boat of Garten Station on the Strathspey Railway with an afternoon service for Aviemore on 13th August 1980. Built for the NCB in 1948 she worked from Lambton shed, Philadelphia, County Durham and due to restricted clearances in tunnels around Sunderland had a cut down cab roof which she still retains. Not steamed for many years No. 60 arrived at the Aln Valley Railway, Northumberland recently for completion of her overhaul. There appears to be some confusion on the footbridge regarding temperature that afternoon as 3 people are wearing hats and coats while the other two aren't wearing much at all.
