Without doubt the GM Class 59 locomotives have certainly proven their worth since their introduction over thirty years ago. Here at Thingley junction, Class 59/0 No. 59004 Paul A. Hammond is on full power as it wheels the 11:35 Merehead Quarry-Wootton Bassett aggregate working. In the distance, the delightful village of Laycock receives a drenching and the photographer is very grateful to escape it on 16th March 2018.
