Class 105 DMBS No. 51301, with many of it's windows smashed, is amongst other stored DMU vehicles in Falkland yard, Ayr on 21st May 1983. Spending most of it's first 20 years of service operating local commuter trains out of London King's Cross and Moorgate Stations No. 51301 arrived in Scotland during November 1982 following periods at Heaton, Newcastle and Norwich. In service from Ayr MPD for just 4 months No. 51301 carried No. 105375 before being put to store on 31st March 1983 and finally withdrawn during September 1983. Dragged down to the Mayer Newman Yard at Snailwell, Cambridgeshire she passed through their firing tunnel in January 1984.
