Fresh from conversion from No. 37281, Class 37 No. 37428 stands in the yard at Machynlleth on 19th March 1986. Class 37/4s were due to take charge of the reinstated Euston - Aberystwyth/Pwllheli services using their train heating capability and one was out stationed at Machynlleth for crew training. No. 37428 was an example of the subclass that didn't survive long term, being withdrawn in February 2004.
