A rail grinder is conveyed from Okehampton to Chaddesden sidings by Class 50 No. 50008 'Thunderer' on 13th January 2018. Class 50 No. 56104 was leading until the train reached Eckington loop, which can just be seen from this location. 56104 suffered a failure, which caused 50008 to run round on the main line and take the train onwards. The train left Eckington two hours late after allowing an express passenger train to pass, though 'Thunderer' made up some time on the way back to Chaddesden sidings.
