On the 5th December 2017, a trio of Transnet Class 35.800's, Nos. D35.804, D35.803 and D35.810, which are ex Queensland Railways Class 2170 locomotives, built at Clyde Engineering in Australia between 1982 and 1984 and purchased by Transnet in 2014, are seen pulling away from Langeenheid, near Saldanha, with a heavy trainload of steel coils bound initially for Cape Town.
