On the 5th June 1988 Class 47/0 No. 47013 rests in the scrap line at the back of BREL Doncaster Works following serious collision damage incurred at Conington near Peterborough during February 1987. Entering service from Sheffield Darnall MPD in March 1963 as Brush Type 4 No. D1540 she was based at Tinsley TMD at the time of her accident and subsequent withdrawl. Of interest is that she still carries a Haymarket TMD decal on her bodyside having been allocated there between June 1981 and December 1986. CF Booth from Rotherham carried out the scrapping of No. 47013 at BREL Doncaster Works during September 1988.
