NSB loco, Class EL 18 No. EL 18 2242 at Flam having arrived on the Flamsbana (the Flam Railway) from Myrdal with a morning train on 7th August 2017. These trains are operated in push-pull with two of these powerful 5,400 kW (7,240 hp) locos due to the severe gradients on the line (up to 1 in 18). It is the steepest standard gauge adhesion railway in Europe. EL 18 2255 was at the other end of the train.
