Class 47 No. 47401 stabled at Swanwick Junction on 30th July 2017. The 47 (D1500) was the first of the class and entered traffic in September 1962, was named "North eastern" in December 1981, the plates being removed in May 1988. Withdrawn in June 1992 into preservation the plates were replaced at MRC in 1993.
