During periods of weekend engineering activity, which results in the diverting of freights from the Great Western Main Line, the number of such trains is minimised as much as possible. However one such train that did run was the Brentford to Severside (Bristol) refuse service, behind Class 66/0 No. 66023, pictured here, with a partially loaded train of the distinctive yellow containers, passing Hungerford on 11th June 2017. The fresh air of a bright and very breezy summer day being temporarily tainted by the arrival of this malodorous cargo.
