Courpet-Louvet 0-6-0T No. 2 MINAS DE ALLER built in 1884 is the oldest narrow gauge loco preserved on the Statfold Barn Railway and has the unusual Brown's valve gear. Similar valve gear was used by SLM in their earlier series of rack tanks and examples still exist on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. No. 2 was one of a series of 6 identical locos and all worked at the same coal mine in Spain until the late 1960's.It commenced operations on the SBR in the summer of 2012. Here it sits on shed in the smoky atmosphere before the start of the service at Statfold on 10th June 2017
