Daytime testing of the Hitachi GWR Class 800 IEP units have become more commonplace in the South West of late as seen in this view at North Somerset junction. Here, part GWR-liveried Class 800 No. 800003 traverses the junction while working a test diagram on an out and back service from Stoke Gifford to Taunton. It is understood the set required turning via North Somerset junction in order for the remaining part of the unit to be fully-liveried at Stoke Gifford IEP depot.
