In brilliant sunshine on 25th May 2017 DB Cargo Class 66/0 No. 66155 passes the site of Brayton station, near Aspatria, with; a trainload of empty china clay tanks, from Workington Docks to Carlisle New Yard. Brayton station, which served as the interchange for the Solway Junction Railway (SJR) with the Maryport and Carlisle Railway (M&CR), also served nearby Brayton Hall. It closed to passenger traffic on 5th June 1950 and to all traffic in 1965.
