There is much of interest for the railway enthusiast at High Peak Junction near Cromford, as seen here on 30th April 2017 on the 50th anniversary of the closure of the C&HPR from Middleton Top to Friden. In particular a film of the history of the C&HPR can be seen for no charge (donation appreciated) in the Workshops, and this is the start of the High Peak trail.
