The Canal & Rivers Trust (CRT) are getting their assets in place ready for work to start on the Help the Heroes project to restore Bridge 99 on the Kennet & Avon canal. Some of the WW2 tank traps are to be removed and safe parapets will be installed, after which the bridge will become available (and more easily accessible) for railfans to view West on England expresses like this Plymouth train headed by Class 43 No. 43xxx on 6th April 2017.
