GWR King Class No. 6000 was scheduled to work a Jules Verne Charter from Shrewsbury southwards over the Welsh Marches route on an unrecorded date but on the outward light engine move from Hereford it ran a hot box on the front bogie and had to limp back to Hereford at very slow speed. It provided a very rare opportunity to photograph it held on the Up Loop at Church Stretton alongside a relic of the steam age. Both the loop and the watercrane have now passed into history. c1987 c1987
