WD Austerity Class J94 0-6-0ST No. 68006 is seen at Gotham Curve on the Cromford and High Peak Railway with a brakevan for a Loughborough University rail tour from Middleton Top to Friden on 25th January 1967. The reason for the severe limitation on wagons and locomotives at the C&HPR was due to this curve at Gotham, the sharpest for Standard Gauge in the UK at a radius of 55 yards and the line turning through 80 degrees. The line was not elevated on one side as might be expected, but did have a guard rail. The stone walls at this spot remain unaltered to this day, 50 years on.
