Cross Country Class 220 Voyager No. 220033 accelerates away from Stone after the sharp curve through the station on the route via Norton Bridge and is about to pass the former North Staffs ornate crossing keepers cottage at Whitebridge Lane on 9.45 Bournemouth-Manchester Piccadilly on 2nd November 2016. The Churnet Valley Preserved Railway were keen to preserve the cottage and relocate it on their railway but costs proved prohibitive and it is now in a sad dilapidated state.
