LBSCR E4 Class 0-6-2T No. B473 at Sheffield Park on the Bluebell Railway. In 1923 when the Southern Railway was formed, to prevent confusion, the locomotives of the constituent companies had letter prefixes added. SECR locomotives received "A" for Ashford, LBSCR locomotives "B" for Brighton and those from the LSWR "E" for Eastleigh.
