Wearing Railfreight two-tone grey livery with Transrail markings Class 37/4 No. 37407 'Blackpool Tower' accelerates away from Warrington Arpley Yard on 2nd June 1997. Built locally by English Electric at their Newton le Willows factory as Type 3 No. D6605 she entered service during October 1965 allocated to Cardiff Canton MPD later becoming Class 37/0 No. 37305 under TOPS. Following ETH conversion at BREL Crewe Works in 1984 she emerged as Class 37/4 No. 37407 carrying 'Loch Long' nameplates from June 1986 to January 1995. Stored in March 2000 from Toton TMD she was transferred to Wigan CRDC for component recovery. 16 years later, following several moves around the UK, she can be found undergoing a major overhaul at Derby RTC enabling her to return to main line duties with her new owner DRS.
