Class 144 No. 144008 leaves Leeds Station with a service for Sheffield in the early morning sunshine of 29th March 1989. The unit is formed DMSL No. 55831 leading DMS No. 55808 and carries the original crimson and cream West Yorkshire Metro livery. Built in 1986 and allocated to Leeds Neville Hill TMD No. 144008 is still Neville Hill based 29 years later although today she wears Northern Rail purple and blue livery.
