Yes, this is a rail vehicle! Narrow gauge motor trolleys were constructed at Demikhovo Works (Russia) from 1955 until 1974. They were built for use in the peat extraction industry, transporting personnel and goods. Some were modified for use as ambulances and even for fire fighting! Petrol engines were employed. The unit pictured (26th June 2015) at the LDZ museum in Riga is an integration of several vehicles.
