The scene of devastation between Worston and Shallowford south of Norton Bridge on 16th October 2003 when a northbound Freightliner headed by Class 86's Nos. 86631 & 86611 collided with the rear of another Freightliner held at signals at Shallowford. Both locos were subsequently written off as a result.
