Late afternoon on 17th September 2005 finds CIE Class 071 No. 080 waiting to depart Dublin Connolly Station with an express formed of coaches similar in design to a BR Mark 2D. The vehicle immediately behind the loco being Brake Generator Van No. 5610. 18 Class 071 locomotives were built for Coras Iompair Eireann by General Motors at it's London, Ontario plant in Canada during 1976. All remain in service with several having recently been refurbished. Just visible behind No. 080 is newer GM Canada built Class 201 No. 223.
