On 16th September 2005, Alstron Citadis 301 tram No. 4005 is seen at the St Stephens Green terminus of the Green Line in Dublin City Centre. Fourteen 4000 class trams worked this Southern section of Dublins network until replaced by twenty six Citadis 402 5000 class units delivered from 2009. The 4000 class were subsequently transferred to operate alongside the twenty six 3000 class trams on the Red Line which operates across the Northside of the city.
