To celebrate the Birthday of W A Camwell the well known organiser of numerous SLS Trips round the Midlands a surprise trip was organised on 18th October 1986, diesel-hauled from Birmingham to Shrewsbury where LNWR Coal Tank No. 1054 took over from Shrewsbury to Northwich via Chester. On a positioning move from the SVR to Shrewsbury 1054 pulls away past Worcester Tunnel Junction Signalbox on 17th October 1986.
