An historic moment for the Telford Steam Railway on 4th April 2015 as BR Class 108 No. 51950 DMCL coupled with classmate 52062 stand proudly next to the halt at Lawley Common. Though there is clearly more work to be done, this is the first fare-paying service to use the halt following the newly opened extension from Spring Village. The Railway has been open to the public since 1984 and this is the first of planned extensions that will eventually see trains running to the famous Ironbridge Gorge.
