Not often a Class 37 heads the Royal Scot! EWS Class 37 No. 37042 is attached to Intercity Class 90 No. 90001 at Carlisle on 11:41 Glasgow-Euston to drag the train south after an earlier accident had caused isolation of the overhead power supply south of Penrith on 3rd December 1997.
