Class 128 DMLV No. 55993 leads No. 55995 as they enter Crewe Station from the north on 28th March 1989. They both carry the red and yellow Royal Mail Letters livery applied to the class in their final years. The vehicles were new in February and March 1960 respectively and were originally fitted with a standard corridor connection in between the exhaust pipes, these being removed and plated over during the 1980s. Spending virtually all their working lives allocated to Tyseley Depot Birmingham both were withdrawn in November 1990 and scrapped in Glasgow by M C Metals during April 1991.
