The view from the signal box at Nordhausen during the celebrations to mark the 100 years of the Nordhausen to Wernigerode Eisenbahn on 23rd May 1999, with 0-6-0T No. 99 6101 giving cab rides departs from the right hand platform. The display also included the Saxon 0-4-4-0 Double Fairlie No. 252, the only remaining original 2-10-2T No. 99 722, Red Camel No. 199 874 a converted standard gauge diesel, recently equipped with radio control and fitted with standard gauge buffers to work the transporter wagons to the quarry at Eisfelder Talmahle and NWE railcar No. T3.
