BR 'Teddy Bear' 0-6-0 diesel hydraulics No. D9514 and No. D9518 keep company with North British diesel hydraulic No. D6331 at Gloucester Horton Road MPD on 4th July 1969. Withdrawn and sold to the National Coal Board, they had arrived as part of a convoy from Cardiff Canton MPD to Ashington Colliery, hauled by EE Type 3 No. D6607. They were both new from Swindon Works in October 1964 and withdrawn in May 1969 after just 4 years 6 months of service. Following use by the NCB, D9514 was cut up at NCB Ashington Colliery during December 1985. D9518 fared much better and survives in preservation. It is owned by a DEPG member and is located on the West Somerset Railway.
