Class 20s No. 20142 in BR blue livery and classmate No. 20189 in London Transport red livery, join the main Cross Country route at Stenson Junction, Derbyshire on a wet Friday 24th January 2014 with 6K50, 15:13 Toton North Yard to Crewe Basford Hall Sidings engineering train, which consisted of wagons conveying railway sleepers and continuous welded rails. This working is usually powered by a GBRf Class 66/7 but on this day it is understood the Class 20s had been "hired-in" to allow the Class 66/7 locomotive to operate another working.
