Class 24 No. 97201 Experiment at Butterley Midland Railway Centre on 22nd September 1984 behind Class 44 No. D4 which was celebrating its 25th anniversary. It entered service as D5061 at 31B on 15th January 1960 and under TOPS became 24061 on 5th March 1974. She was transferred to Departmental service as RDB968007 in July 1976 and became 97201 on 18th August 1979 at Doncaster Works. The Class 24 was withdrawn on 4th December 1987 and arrived at the Midland Railway Centre on 19th July 1991 before moving on to the NYMR at Pickering on 1st June 1994.
