A scene now much changed, Sulzer Type 4 No. 139 powers out of Gloucester and passes Tuffley Junction on 16th August 1971 with a Newcastle - Plymouth service. The train is coming off the line from Gloucester Eastgate which was abandoned at the end of 1975. New from Derby Works in November 1961, the loco became No. 46002 under TOPS, was withdrawn in September 1981 and cut-up at Swindon Works in September 1984.
