Enginners assess the damage caused by severe flooding which saw the GW Mainline closed for a 2nd time in a week. The track bed has been washed away in parts and thousands of tonnes of ballast swept away into the River Exe. As seen here the track has been severely undermined and a great deal of work now needs to take place to restore service, however, more bad weather is forecast.
