LMS Black 5 No. 44872 waits at platform 10 at Nottingham Victoria to haul the last 8-15am train to Marylebone on the 3rd September 1966. This loco had been cleaned by Colwick staffs as it should have worked the last train over the GCR later that night, but it failed with injector trouble en route to London and so a grubby 44984 substituted.
