On Tuesday 10th May 2011, 1Z56, the VSOE returning from Oxford to Victoria passes Saunderton station with Class 67 No. 67019 leading and classamte No. 67025 'Western Star' at the back - the loco seen in this 'going away' shot. The loco at both ends enabled reversal at Banbury, where signalling changes were made last year to enable FGW HSTs on diversion to work via this route. It then went via the Greenford loop and the West London line to reach Vidtoria. The outward train had followed the same route in the morning.
