On 22nd March 2007, six BNSF GE locomotives power a heavy westbound freight out of Needles, heading for Barstow and Los Angeles. It is being passed by a pair of light engines also heading west. The train locos are No. 4120,5277,5107,5306,4986,4355. Before the recession, traffic over the BNSF transcontinental main line was intense with a train every few minutes even through the night. While traffic levels have fallen it is still a worthwhile location to visit.
