Garratt NG/G16 No. 87 waits at Beddgelert for a fitter to arrive from Dinas on Wednesday 9th June 2010. The locomotive was stopped by its driver because of a loose pin holding the crosshead to the piston. After the pin was temporarily secured, 87 took its train forward to Dinas (90 minutes late), sustaining more damage. It was taken off the train there. (This was the line's first loco failure - but it was expected to be back in action the following day).
