A moment of reflection: As Metropolitan Railway locomotive No. 12, ‘Sarah Siddons’, stands alongside a rain-soaked Platform 1 at Amersham, a couple read the information board hanging from the handrail. Preparations have been made for the last run of the day back to Harrow-on-the-Hill behind BR Class 20, No.20227, because red lenses have been fitted over the headlights. London Underground operated the day of special runs on 16th May 2010 in conjunction with the annual Rickmansworth Festival.
