An earlier recipient of the DRS livery is another ex Freightliner locomotive 57009. It is seen stabled behind 57010 at York. 57009 carried the name 'Freightliner Venturer' after conversion into a '57 and was painted in the Freightliner Green livery. Prior to conversion to a Class 57 this locomotive was Class 47, No 47079, originally named 'George Jackson Churchward' after the GWR's Chief Mechanical Engineer. It was specially repainted into GWR green during the GWR 150 celebrations along with a further 2 '47's and a Class 50. It lost both the GWR Green livery and the nameplates when it was reallocated to the Freightliner business where it was re-painted in the less distinctive Freightliner grey livery.
