In the late afternoon of June 28th 2008, some eight hours later than originally scheduled, Ex SR King Arthur class No 30777 Sir Lamiel heads its train out of Oxenhope. The derailment of a WCR diesel here at the beginning of the day had thrown the KWVR's plans for the second day of its 40th Anniversary Gala into chaos, restricting the service to a frequent shuttle between Keighley and Haworth supplemented by additional trips between Keighley and Ingrow West only. Sir Lamiel was later to fail at Skipton on the late evening run to Ribblehead.
