Due to the blockage of the George - Knysna heritage line by 3 landslides, the daily "Outeniqua Tjoe-Choo" steam service is currently running over the Cape Town main line from the museum in George, to terminate on the seafront at Mossel Bay. Here, 19D class 4-8-2 no. 2649 is about to return to George, on 21st February. The loco will draw the coaching stock forward and run round it, before heading for Hartenbos, and then the long 1 in 40 gradient to Outeniqua. 21st February 2008.
